Landmannalaugar - the tour of a lifetime

Landmannalaugar is without question one of Iceland´s gems. A highland center which offers a unique experience of volcanic activity through the millennia, the colours of the rhyolite rock formations are like nowhere else. We will drive through the Þjorsardalur valley and continue into the highlands through a moonlike landscape. Stops include Hjalparfoss, Sigöldufoss, Ljótapoll and on the way back we drive an alternative route near the volcano Hekla and the fantastic lavafields that it has produced.

This is a highland tour that will stay in the memory for a lifetime. A 1-2 hour hike through the incredible obsidian lavafield Laugahraun is optional. As this tour takes you into the heart of the southern highlands accessibility may be restricted because of weather and/or season.
