The Reykjanes peninsula

The Reykjanes peninsula is an absolute gem right at the doorstep of Reykjavik. And now with an ERUPTING VOLCANO to boot.

In 4-6 hours we will explore all that Iceland is famous for; The geothermal site at Seltún, and the magical lake Kleifarvatn, the magnificent seacliffs at Krysuvikurbjarg, the old fishing station at Selatangar, the powerful hotspring Gunnuhver, the seabasin Brimketill, the symbolic bridge across the continents of North America and Eurasia, and finally the Blue Lagoon.

Pickup at your place of stay at a time that is most convenient for you. We head out to Seltún and Kleifarvatn and from there to Krysuvikurbjarg and Selatangar.

Lunch (if the time of day is right) at a quaint harbour café in the fishing town of Grindavik. From there to the ever blowing hotspring Gunnuhver, and the lighthouse Reykjanesviti and then a brief stop at the Bridge between the continents and/or at one of the volcanic craters that abound in the area.

We then head back to Reykjavik that is only about 45 minute drive away, unless you choose to relax in the Blue Lagoon before heading back. This tour is also ideal as a first or last part of your visit to Iceland, as the international airport at Keflavik is right there in the area.

I would then either pick you up at the airport on your arrival or drop you off at the airport in time for your departure. If you want to go up to the volcano site I am happy to guide you but it is a 4-5 hour hike.

What do I need to bring
