The Golden Circle
This is a must daytour if you haven't visited Iceland before.
In one day you see the National park Thingvellir, From there we drive to the Geysir Geothermal area where you have the opportunity to see an erupting hot spring.
The Golden Waterfall, Gullfoss, iis next and heading back we visit Solheimar, a remarkable community where sustainability has been practised for nearly 90 years.
Our last stop is at the volcanic crater Kerid created in an explosion some 3500 years ago.
The tour starts with me picking you up at 8:30 at your hotel in the Reykjavik area.
We head out to the Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, because of its unique geology, the only place in the world where it's possible to see the result of two continents, North America and Eurasia, gradually drifting apart. It is also the site of the oldest parliament in world, The Viking Parliament, established in the 10th century.
We then drive to the Geothermal area of Geysir where nearly 100C° hot water bubbles out of the ground. The erupting hotspring Strokkur is the favorite. The Golden Waterfall, Gullfoss, iis our next stop, a national treasure, protected by law since 1978.
We then visit the remarkable community at Sólheimar, where people of various ablilities have been liviing a sustainable lifestyle for nearly 90 years. Their art and craft is on display as well as homemade refreshments. Our last stop is the volcanic crater Kerid, created in an enormous explosion 3500 years ago.

The weather in Iceland is always unpredictable both in summer and winther. It is advisable to keep at hand, some rain- and windproof clothing, and gloves and hats. Good shoes are also recommended. In the winther I will provide spikes that can easily be put on your shoes if the ground is slippery and/or icy.
My vehicle is a top of the line luxurious new Toyota Landcruiser,,with leather interior, that seats up 6 passengers, 4 adults and two youngsters, with AC, and WiFi and all possible accessories A clean, powerful car, modified for driving in all conditions, with plenty of luggage space.
